NOTE: These devotional will mainly be verses and questions. My goal is to ensure that my children understand the meaning of the verse and it how it relates to the true celebration of Christmas. I will listen to their response and lead our discussion based on their thoughts, so in reality the questions may change. I will base my responses on their level of understanding of the verse we are discussing. We will then hang the ornament depicted each day on our special little tree.

Day 3 – God had a plan from the very beginning!
"I'm declaring war between you and the Woman,
between your offspring and hers.
He'll wound your head, you’ll wound his heel."
(Genesis 3:15, the Message)
Who is speaking in this passage?
God makes this statement after Adam and Eve have sinned. It is what we call a prophecy. Prophetic verses foretell something that is going to happen in the future. So basically, in the Old Testament, God gave information to men about the coming of Jesus and his plan for saving us from our sins.
Who is God speaking to in this passage?
Which is worse, a head wound or a heel wound?
So if a head wound is worse, who and what is events is this passage talking about?
Let's practice our verses again!
Grace – “’Glory to God in the Highest, peace on earth, good will to men!’” (Luke 2:14)
