Heart of Christmas Kids Advent Devotional Day 2

NOTE: These devotional will mainly be verses and questions. My goal is to ensure that my children understand the meaning of the verse and it how it relates to the true celebration of Christmas. I will listen to their response and lead our discussion based on their thoughts, so in reality the questions may change. I will base my responses on their level of understanding of the verse we are discussing. We will then hang the ornament depicted each day on our special little tree.

See my original post detailing the inspiration behind my Heart of Christmas Devotional HERE!

Day 2 – Why did Jesus come to earth?

Today we look at our blessed Savior and why He came to earth

Today's Verse:

“For the son of man came to seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)

Who is the son of man?

Who are the lost?

Why is Jesus seeking the lost?

What is He saving them from?

So Jesus was born as a baby, God in flesh, without sin, in order to one day save us through His death on the cross and resurrection from the grave!

Awesome, right?!

Memory Verse

Let's practice our verses again!

Grace –“Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, good will to men.” (Luke 2:14)

Anthony – “Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, good will to men.” (Luke 2:14)

Blessings this Christmas Season,
