Oh Happy Day! Jesus reigns as Lord in our children from China!!

I have very few words to say but Praise God and Hallelujah! The Holy Spirit worked in the lives of my children from China and they have given their lives to Jesus.

"Mommy?" Anthony asked with some trepidation in his voice. "Am I am a Christian?"

"Well, do you know that you are a sinner?"

Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and came back to life?"

"Yes! One night after we talked about what the Bible says and what Jesus did, I prayed in my room to God."

"YOU DID!! That's amazing, Anthony!! You have the Holy Spirit living inside of you and you will spend forever in Heaven with God!! Why didn't you tell me?"

. . . .  (What do boys tell their moms about besides the latest cavern they've explored in Minecraft?)

"Did you know that Jesus and the angels are rejoicing that you have been found! You belong to God!!"

"Really? They are rejoicing?!" Big smile on his face.

As I was sitting at my desk, praising God about Anthony's salvation, a little voice piped up,

"Mommy, am I a Christian?"

My precious little one was listening as well.

"Well, baby, I will ask you the same questions I asked Anthony. Do you disobey Mommy and Daddy sometimes?"

"Yes." Dejection detected in her voice.

"Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you?"

"Yes!! And He rose again and is alive forever and forever!"

"Do you want to spend forever with him?"

"Yes, yes!!!"

"Let's pray!"

So I took Grace on my lap and Anthony snuggled close by my side. I prayed, and Grace repeated the prayer and then asked to pray on her own. Her level of understanding is amazing for an almost five year old. Simple pure faith.

I am beside myself with joy over this amazing and shared experience.

The Jesus Culture song keeps playing in my head as the angels and I rejoice.

"Oh happy day, happy day
You washed my sin away
Oh happy day, happy day
I'll never be the same
Forever I am changed."

"Then Jesus told them this parable: 'Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.'" (Luke 15:3-7, NIV)

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

"For the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
(Romans 6:23, NIV)

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
(Romans 5:8, NIV)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved.
(Romans 10:9, NIV)
