2013 - the year that brought us our boy from China

Two years ago on this day, I had no idea that in 2012 we would find our boy, and I certainly had no idea he would be eight! God's plans never cease to amaze me!

One year ago on this day, we were frantically packing and gathering the needed supplies for our trip to China in January to pick up our boy. We have now had him for almost one year!

What a year it has been! Blessings, frustration, joy and sadness appear at every turn. Every moment with our boy and girl from China is a pure blessing. Is every the moment perfect? Of course not! But that doesn't make it any less of a blessing, Without God's provision of our precious children, we wouldn't have children, and I can't imagine life without them. So even in those moments when they make us angry, or sad because we learned something about their past we wish they could forget, there is always that underlying blessing that God bestowed on us by gifting them to us.
