Precious Moments Little Book of Prayers Giveaway

Prayer . . . it is one of the most important of our daily spiritual disciplines that deepens our relationship with God. We must work diligently to teach and instill this discipline in our children. As we know that without prayer, our relationship with Christ will stand dead in its tracks.

I would like to take a quick little journey through the scriptures and meditate on prayer.

"And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14)

"And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him." (1 John 5:14-15)

You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. (James 4:3)

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

"Rejoice always; pray without ceasing. in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

"And call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me." (Psalm 50:15)

"The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth." (Psalm 145:18)

As we share our love of prayer with our children, consider this precious little book, Precious Moments Little Book of Prayers. This book has prayers to cover many different topic so you can pray through them with your little ones.

  1. We try to lead by example. When they see us praying they want to pray also.

  2. We pray before bed time, but need to teach P and ourselves to make a decision to pray at all times, in all things. Sadly, lots of times Penelope has to remind us that "we forgot about prayers".
