Welcome to week 2 of the adoption blog carnival! I'm super excited to be a part of this and to host the carnival this week! We have some great posts to share with you this week from some amazing bloggers, and pray that they provide encouragement along your adoption journey.
The Wenrich Family Adoption: Becoming a Family of 4, discusses open adoptions this week. While her daughter is not yet school age, a discussion at Open Adoption Roundtable about open adoption and school had her considering what may happen once her daughter starts school.
Along similar lines, Bumber's Bumblings reflects on meeting her daughter's birth mom about 10 months ago and shares the experience with her readers.
Birds in the Treetops ponders the difficult journey of attachment as they reach the three year anniversary of meeting their daughter for the first time.
Faith Sprinkles brings us a post about finding peace and trusting God in the midst of what seems like a forever wait for the completion of an international adoption.
For additional encouragement on the long adoption road, Designed with Purpose reminds readers that when you hit rough times in the adoption process, you must persevere. Our circumstances are not the truth, they do not tell the whole story.
Finally, this week, the Cork Board shares openly and honestly about surviving the first year of a multiple, older, unrelated, out-of-birth order adoption, providing readers with invaluable experience as they consider their adoption paths.
Thanks for joining for this week's adoption carnival! Different blogs will be hosting each week, so you can go directly to the Cork Board to find the host blog for that week.
If you would like to submit a post for next week, you can do that HERE. Posts are due by midnight EST on Tuesdays. We are excited to see this expand and grow each week!
P.S. Come visit Surpassing Greatness every Friday for posts on our adoption journey.
