A boy from China goes to camp

Excitement in the air.

Unknown adventures to be had.

New friends to be made.

Old friendships deepened.

Pine Cove Base Camp was amazing!

I will never be able to say thank you enough to all those who made a difference in Anthony's life.

At the closing ceremony, with just the kids and the counselors, (as described to me by the lovely Belva Stringer, Director of Children's Ministries at Wayside Chapel), Anthony came forward at the end to share what he learned at camp and he said, "God loves anybody" (he meant everybody). So sweet and amazing for a boy of 8 (almost 9) to share his heart before a crowd in his second language. Keep praying for his full understanding of the gospel!

One of my favorite things at the camp closing ceremonies was the special time at the very end when the counselors shared with their students, and the parents, the character qualities they saw exhibited in the students during the week.

Anthony and Triple Fret
Anthony's cabin with Triple Fret!
Laser Tag!
Fun with cabin mates!
Camp fun!

Just us girls at the grand opening of the new Lululemon!

As we were walking out of camp on the last day, he said he would miss Triple Fret (his counselor) and wanted to know when he can go to camp again!

Praise God for the work He is doing in the lives of all these children. To God be the GLORY!!!
