Make 'em wonder what you've got
Make 'em wish that they were not
On the outside looking bored
Let it shine before all men
Let'em see good works, and then
Let 'em glorify the Lord
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16, NASB)
Are we hiding our light or letting it shine? When we are at work, in line at the grocery store or driving, are we exhibiting the light of Christ? I pray daily with the kids that we would be shining lights for Him but what actually happens when I step out my door into the world? I want to be a light wherever I go but it isn't always so easy when that car cuts you off. :) I find it is a constant resetting of my focus on our Heavenly Father so that my thoughts are aligned with His and I see the world through his eyes.
I want my children to see Jesus shining through me, so they, in turn, will desire to be on fire for Jesus.
This month I received a precious devotional for girls from Tommy Nelson to share with Grace and you!
*Little girls can let their lights shine each day!
*Girls need to know that they can be bright, shining lights for God - and this new devotional by Sheila Walsh will teach them to do so by thanking God, learning His Word, telling others about Him and showing His love to everyone they meet.
*Fabulous features: Devotional format to help girls learn & apply Bible principles, adorable art from God’s Little Angel storybooks and a sparkling, glittery cover that girls will love!
I love all the features this devotional contains that help children focus and learn to apply God's truth their life!
