What is normal anyway? Are our lives ever really normal? Isn’t that just an idea forced upon us by our society? To be normal, we should do X and have Y. These things are things the world values. Well, I don’t want just a normal life. I want a life centered on Christ. I want Christ to permeate every part of our home and daily lives. Instead of normal, I want our lives to be fragrant.
“For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.”
(2 Corinthian 2:15, NKJV)
I started thinking about all this today after our first Post Placement visit. The visit was great. Nothing crazy, just a lot of questions about how he is developing, what we have observed about his personality, his likes and dislikes, how is our schedule working out, etc. But in light of all the things she asked us, it just made me think about what is most important to me and, that is, simply-put, a Christ centered home.
What do you want for your family?
