I must apologize that I have not posted one of my Weekly Wednesday Encouragements in a while. I could use a million different excuses, but in reality, I got lost a little bit lost in the transitions of our new family and have recently been working to place my focus back on my heavenly Father. Additionally, I realized that there wasn't much focus and direction to my posts so after some prayer and revelations from God, I have a clear direction now. Let me lay it out for you.
Each Wednesday, I will choose a word God has placed on my heart for the week. I will write a little about what God is showing me regarding that word and then turn it over to you! Did I mention Blog Link up the title? Why yes, yes I did! :) My proposal to you is this: join me each week. Write a post or list some verses that align with the Wednesday Word and then link up!
Spread the Word! Share with your friends! Let's be accountability partners, encouraging and lifting one another up as sisters in the Lord each week!

WEEKLY WEDNESDAY WORD - FOCUS
As I was writing this particular post, one word practically leaped off the page, FOCUS!! At every turn over the past few, God keeps asking me, "where is your focus, Suzanne? Am I focused on myself, my problems, what others think or on Christ? It is so easy for "things" to muddle my brain and push out Christ, so my prayer for this week is that I will focus my eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith. I pray that the minute doubts, fear, fatigue, or frustrations start to rise up that I will immediately stop and refocus back on my Father, through prayer, scripture or worship! Will you join me?
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:1-2, NKJV)
"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, NIV)
