On our way to get Anthony!
First of many!
The Shanghai Children's home also gave us a beautiful photo album and a chop (a traditional Chinese name stamp). They were so sweet and generous.
The language barrier is pretty significant, but we will trust God and speak lots of English. God put homeschooling on my heart for a reason! Exciting times ahead.
For those wondering, we do have a video! It is very long and we are working on downloading it and will upload to YouTube soon!
After our special time getting him, we went on an excursion to a store that was sort of like Wal-Mart, apparently called Lotus. It was incredibly overwhelming to be in a huge store where everything was in Chinese. We also learned that apparently you don't need deodorant in China in the winter. :) They don't sell it during the winter! He picked out a few things like some DVDs, toy cars and treats he liked and then we dropped all that off and went on a adventure to find lunch.
Last night we ate at a wonderful Indian Restaurant and today we tried a Chinese restaurant. We had great food and got some laughs over the menu translations.
FIRST FAMILY PHOTO! Someone got mad at me for being behind her. Can you guess who needs a nap? :)
I LOVE TEA!
Clove of Garlic, anyone?
Chinese Pizza comes in wide variety of flavors :)
Grace is napping now and we are playing with Anthony. Please pray that our bodies would adjust to the time here. Grace keeps waking up at 2:30 AM and is thus very tired and hits the grumpy stage pretty fast. :) Please continue to pray for the bonding process and for the language barrier. We are so happy with our precious son and can't thank God enough for the amazing ways He is working in our lives!
