As I was reading through my new devotional this morning trying to find hope in the midst of this busy season and my desire to get our boy home, God spoke this in my heart, "Suzanne, you aren't the only one who needs encouragement. Share my words." So here goes.
I have begun going through Sarah Young's new devotional, Jesus Today and the words God gave her are so very encouraging! I have been feeling very stressed and worried about getting everything accomplished over the next month and feeling sad because as we go through this holiday season, I wish our boy were with us, sharing in the joy this season brings. But through good times and bad, I know from experience that God is with me and that He has a perfect plan. His is plan always surprises and amazes me. And even when it feels like He isn't there, He absolutely is! Those are the times He is carrying us (I speak from experience). So let's put our hope and faith in Him! Words from Sarah Young: "the more you put your hope in me, the more my Love-Light shines upon you, brightening your day."
"We wait in hope for the Lord ; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord , even as we put our hope in you."(Psalm 33:20-22 NIV)
