Panda World!

Today our adventures in Fuzhou took us to Panda World! It is very close to our hotel and houses some of the most famous Panda Bears in China.  We had a grand time looking at the Panda Bears even amidst the worst humidity we have ever experienced. Of course, the bears live on all these different levels so we were climbing up down flight after flight of stairs to see them in the crazy heat and humidity while Grace ran about excitedly. She is a bundle of energy and loved the animals!  We can't wait to take her to the zoo in San Antonio!

We were all pretty exhausted and hung out at the hotel the rest of the day. Our guide, Helen, ordered us food from a nearby restaurant so we got to try some different food. It was quite delicious, and of course, Grace loved it!

Tomorrow we will do some more sight seeing and bonding. We aren't entirely sure what we are doing tomorrow, but according to the weather reports it is suppose to be cooler! Friday we will receive Grace's China passport and then head Guangzhou for the U.S. portion of our adoption so we can get Grace into the U.S.

As always, your continued prayers are much appreciated for bonding as Grace is still grieving the loss of her foster family.

  1. Love these family pictures! Hope you get your cooler weather!! Keep giving sweet Grace all of your love and you will all be fine : )

  2. Darling Suzanne, Adam and sweet GG
Auntie Pat is ooohing and aaaahing over the wonderful pictures of all of you together. It appears that the bonding prayers are getting through to heaven. You look really awesome together and I can see a bit of Spencer mischieviousness in her eye. A twinkle perhaps? My 'adopted" grandkids have a tradition on their birthday. They have a story about how they came to earth from heaven via a rainbow bridge. I am going to get one of the versions and write one for GG. The parents change it each year with updates on development and such. I think perhaps some of my Spencer Angels had something to do with the three of you coming together. From the first photo of her I felt a connection. I am not kidding. That Black hair and those dark eyes remind me a great deal of my Daddy - your grandfather Suzanne. He had such a twinkle in his eye and loved to play jokes and tease everybody. I can just hear her giggle and laugh. Am very envious of everyone who has camera capabilities and can talk to her on Skype. You are so beautiful together you take my breath away. God Blessings on all 3 of you and safe travels home. All my love. Auntie Pat.

  3. Thanks for sharing this amazing and inspiring journey with all of us! Grace it a beautiful child with a bright and loving future ahead of her. The pictures are absolutely amazing and admittedly have brought tears of joy to my eyes; each time I finally see all of you together! You are both going to be GREAT parents, it's apparent in the pictures! I will continue to keep y'all in my prayers and that your love for her quickly overshadows the the grief she feels at the loss of her foster family!!!! Make the most of every moment!
